Our Story

PropelMapper's first customer didn't use it for field reports. An animal nutrition advisory firm used an early version of the platform to map their sales territories. In the process they found a gap in regional coverage that led to a new hire. A mapping tool had driven a real business decision. That was the moment co-founders Reghardt Pretorius and Mark Donne knew agriculture was the right space.

The insight that shaped the product came from Dr. Osterhoff, an agricultural advisor in Germany. He kept meticulous brown folders for every client. Detailed notes from every visit, nothing left to chance. The advisors who adopted that discipline built stronger relationships and consistently won more business. The connection was clear.

That level of diligence was hard to maintain. Most advisors could not keep it up manually, not because they did not care, but because the process demanded too much time. The insight was simple: if you could make that discipline effortless, available to every advisor on every team, the results would follow.

PropelMapper launched in September 2024. Reghardt had built the original prototype, a polygon-drawing tool on satellite imagery, and together he and Mark shaped it into a platform built for agricultural advisors. Reghardt stepped away from the company in 2026 to run a consultancy in South Africa. Mark now leads PropelMapper from Boston.

In 2025 the company received a Meta Llama Impact Grant. In 2026 it closed an investment with Ag Startup Engine. PropelMapper now serves advisory teams across the United States: farmland managers, agronomists and crop consultants, veterinarians, livestock nutritionists, and crop insurance adjusters.

The company is building toward one vision: an operating system for agricultural advisors. Not another tool to add to the stack. The central platform where field intelligence is captured, structured, and compounds over time.
